갤러리 시몬은 홍승혜, 변선영, 윤가림, 이미연, 서재정, 박현정 6인 그룹전 <Where Voices Rest and Rise>을 2025년 10월17일 5시부터 12월 13일까지 개최합니다.

서로 다른 매체와 시각 언어를 통해 목소리가 머물고 다시 일어나는 지점을 탐구하는 여섯 작가를 소개합니다.

화면의 구조적 측면에 주목하며, 유기적 기하학 시리즈를 통해 양식이 곧 내용이 되는 미술에 관한 미술을 실험하는 홍승혜,
배경과 레이스 같은 무가치한 것이라 여겨지는 요소를 그리며 가치의 정체성과 기준을 전도·혼재·재구성하는 변선영,
자수·금박을 탐구하며 과거 자연·과학 삽화에 시대적 재해석을 불어넣어 매혹적인 시각과 새로운 감각의 결합을 선사하는 윤가림,
스위스 쿠어와 엥가딘에서 인간의 척도를 넘어서는 기괴하고도 아름다운 검푸른 숲을 경험하며 나무를 그리기 시작했고, 그 잔상을 시간의 흔적과 선보이는 이미연,
다층적 형태와 상황을 담은 작품 속‘건축적 심리 공간’을 통해 또 다른 세계로 확장·해석의 가능성을 보여주는 서재정,
그리고 추상의 전통을 확장·전복하고 보이지 않는 질서를 시각화 하는 수행적 회화를 선보이는 박현정.

<Where Voices Rest and Rise>를 통해 잠재와 발현이 교차하는 지점에서 얽히고 스며들어, 다시 살아나 새로운 의미를 만들어내는 목소리들의 장(場)을 경험하길 바랍니다.

Gallery Simon is pleased to present a group exhibition <Where Voices Rest and Rise> on view from 17th of October to 13th of December, 2025.

This exhibition presents six artists who explore moments where voices come to rest and rise again through diverse media and visual expressions. Hong Seung-Hye focuses on the structure of the pictorial surface and explores “art about art” in her Organic Geometry series, where the form itself becomes the content.
Sun Young Byun paints elements often considered insignificant—such as backgrounds and lace—to question and reconstruct ideas of identity and value.
Yoon Kalim works with embroidery and gilding, reinterpreting historical illustrations of nature and science to create a fascinating mix of beauty and fresh perception.
After experiencing the dark green, mysterious forests of Chur and Engadin in Switzerland—landscapes beyond human scale—Miyeon Lee began painting trees, capturing their lingering impressions with the passage of time.
Seo Jaejung presents “architectural psychological spaces,” revealing new possibilities for interpretation and expansion into other worlds through layered forms and situations.
Hyun-jung Park creates performative paintings that reimagine and challenge the tradition of abstraction, giving form to invisible orders.
