Since 2006, Kim has been steadfastly exploring the theme of “Obscurity,” continually layering paint on a single canvas to probe realms beyond mere visibility. Among the featured works, ‘touch a stone to become a petal’ epitomizes his practice of transcending conventional boundaries. Through this sustained act of painting, Kim often reaches points impervious to language or reason—moments where he perceives a spiritual resonance.
