Gallery Simon is please to present the special exhibition <The Logic of Sensation> from May 11 to July 15. The four artists in this exhibition explore the essence of senses, and the relationship between the body and the world through their own artistic languages. Xooang Choi’s sculptures merge the reality and the illusion of the body through the symbolism and the metaphor of the body; Hyein Lee’s paintings capture each moment she experienced in the ever-changing relationship between the world and the self. Sojung Jun’s video records her journey in search of the root and the mystery of senses; Jinnie Seo’s paintings and installation compose a poem of space with gleaming impressions persevering through time in poetic words. This exhibition is a compilation of individual stories of these artists who convey both percepts and concepts through their own ‘logic of sensation,’ as well as a universal question of the value of art and its intrinsic power.
