김주현 작가(1965)는 서울대학교에서 조각을 전공하고 독일 브라운슈바이크 미술대학을 졸업하였습니다. 한국문화예술위원회의 ‘올해의 예술상’, ‘김세중 청년 조각상’을 수상한 작가는 Rockefeller Foundation The Bellagio Center 와 NARS Foundation 레지던시에 참여하며 작품 활동의 영역을 넓혀 왔습니다. 또한 국립현대미술관, 서울시립미술관, 부산시립미술관 등 국내 유수의 미술관에 작품이 소장되어 국제적인 평가와 더불어 그 작품성을 인정받고 있습니다.
Joohyun Kim(1965) studied B.F.A Sculpture at Seoul National University and received Diplom at the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste Braunschweig in Germany. The artist was awarded the 'Arts Award of the Year by Arts Council Korea' and Kim Se-jung Young Artist Prize and participated in Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Residency and NARS Foundation Residency in NY. With the international attention, Kim's works are one of the collections of prominet national and public museums and institutions, including MMCA in Korea, SeMA in Korea and Busan Museum of Art.
