Founded in 1994, Gallery Simon is dedicated to presenting the most current and significant tendencies in both Korean and international contemporary art. The gallery is distinguished by significant premiere collections of Korean contemporary artists such as Moon Beom¸ Noh, Sang-Kyoon¸ Airan Kang¸ Joohyun Kim,¸ Shin Il Kim¸ Sunmyung Choi¸ Kown, Sowon¸ Hwang, Hae-sun¸ Kwon, Yong-Rae and Ku, Ja-young. We aim to maintain the highest level of integrity and aesthetic standards in each and every exhibition of our artists. One of our outstanding exhibition is a remarkable serial exhibition “Digital Translations” which is a group exhibition newly introducing artists with digital varieties, including Alan Rath, Daniel Roizin, Jim Campbell, Jenny Holzer, Lincoln Schatz, Ilia Lialina and Vuk Cosic. While maintaining our partnership with overseas galleries and museums, we continue to discover new artists with capability and novelty. Gallery Simon will keep trying to play its important role in developing the domestic and foreign art market promoting Korean contemporary art as well as raising audiences’ awareness of the international art world.
1994년 개관이래 갤러리 시몬은 현대미술의 흐름을 접하고 감상할 수 있는 전람회를 기획 전시하고 있습니다. 문범, 노상균, 최선명, 강애란, 김주현, 권소원, 김신일, 황혜선, 권용래, 구자영 등 전속작가들의 개인전과 세계적으로 검증 받은 미디어 작품을 소개하는 Digital Transitions (Alan Rath, Ben Rubin, Bill Viola, Daniel Rozin, Jenny Holzer, Jim Campbell, Julian Opie, Lincoln Schatz, Olia Lialina, Vuk Cosic 등)를 기획 전시하고 있으며, 또한 새롭고 다양한 전시들을 통해 갤러리 시몬은 고객과 관객이 작품에 표출된 작가의 재능과 열정, 신념과 정신을 공감할 수 있도록 깊은 이해를 도모하고 있습니다.
